In December of the year 2041, an employee stays late after an office party to clean up - and finds herself drawn into a surprisingly profound conversation with an intelligent cleaning robot. Reflecting on the decisions we make in life, the loss of parental love, and the ever-growing presence of technology and alienation in our personal lives, Deborah at Work probes into the heart of our protagonist, Deborah, to explore the ways we make sense of our constantly changing reality.
To help bring the year 2041 to life, post-production involved extensive VFX work to showcase the technology potential of our near future. From holographic desks and the UI of your robotic assistant, to life on a NYC street, we wanted to deliver a vision of the not-too-distant tomorrow that we may all have to face sooner than we think.
Deborah at Work has recently finished post-production and will be making festival rounds.
